Life can get pretty hectic and downright exciting here at the ranch at times, but we really do love the peace and quiet of living away from the hustle and bustle. We have lots of residents who seem to like it here, too.
Although not the largest resident on the place, she IS the lead dog, and don't you forget it. Nothing gets past Blueberry, and you better follow her rules, or else!
Her understudy, Skeeter, apparently escapes Blueberry's supervision at times, because we managed to catch her asleep on guard duty one day (don't tell Blue) ...
And Dandee, the old matriarch, now retired at almost 12 years old, just likes guarding the porch while waiting for meal times.
Our nephews, Connor and Carter, came down to visit, and their mom sent us pictures of their trip to the ranch. They went horseback riding! Bette was kind enough to oblige them with a few tours around the arena. As you can see, they LOVED it, and did not want to quit. Coming to the ranch was like visiting a petting zoo -- they were so excited all day, I'll bet they slept like rocks that night!
Here's a picture of one of our newest additions, Thunder Run Sweet Pea . . . and below that, our very newest, Thunder Run Casey . . . have you ever seen anything quite so adorable?
We have some pretty talented staff here at the ranch. Our horseback riding cat, Lilly ...
and Pinky, our cat who can drive the 4-wheeler ...
are only part of the wonderful help we have around the place. With Blueberry and Skeeter on guard duty, and Charlie the sentinel cat ...
our up-and-coming crew has some pretty big boots to fill!
