Prairie Moon Ranch Block-of-the-Month
The Prairie Moon Ranch Block-of-the-Month Program is a 6-installment series of patterns you can use to make a personalized farm/ranch/cowboy(girl)-themed quilt. The main quilt is a 100" x 100" quilt with panels and pictures, using western and "rustic" fabrics, and using traditional themed blocks such as Hole in the Barn Door and Country Crossroads. There are dozens of options and suggestions for personalizing the quilt and making it uniquely yours, including instructions for using your own photos, various options for the applique motifs, and ways to change the quilt from the original to suit your own purpose.
Each issue of the series is jam-packed full of extras such as bonus projects (a total of 18 bonus projects throughout the series), recipes, cowboy poetry, trivia, tips (both household and quilting), and lots of other neat surprises -- there's even a Mystery Quilt, one step in each installment. It's like getting a magazine each month!
Below are some pictures of some of the projects you'll get patterns for when you sign up for the Block-of-the-Month program. Keep in mind you don't have to buy the entire series. If you see one certain bonus project you want to make, but you don't want to make the entire large quilt, the choice is yours -- you can buy just that one installment, if you wish.
Bonus projects from Part One include a longhorn draftstopper, a longhorn valance and curtains, and even a longhorn apron. Lots of options for other ways to make these same projects, and other fun surprises are also included.
Bonus projects from Part Two include a 4-block wall quilt using picture panels and applique, a set of matching pillows, and instructions for making your own cloth napkins or handkerchiefs for your cowboy.
Bonus projects from Part Three include a tablemat, a horse silhouette wall quilt, and instructions for making potholders.
Bonus projects from Part Four include a pieced throw, and a table runner that has a bit of easy applique on it. Pattern for matching placemats is included, and just like every installment, lots of other fun goodies.
Bonus projects from Part Five include two different generous-sized throw quilts, and the cutest little coasters. And don't forget -- lots of other fun and interesting stuff!
Bonus projects from Part Six include a Welcome Banner wall quilt, and instructions for embellishing pre-made tea towels. There are many more options for personalization included in this installment, and this issue also has the wrap-up instructions for the large ranch quilt and the Mystery Quilt. Jam packed full of great things!
