There's a lot going on this month, but what else would you expect during National Quilting Month?

Our newest pattern is finally in the store: Prairie Moons and Stars. You can read all about it at right. Psst . . . there might be a give-away for a free copy or two over on the blog -- don't tell anyone (it'll give you a better chance of winning)!

We have a new special running all this month on the Nickels and Dimes Charm Packs. There's a limited number, so if you're wanting some, don't delay! You can read about it at the right as well.

The Cowgirl Club is in full swing, and we're making stellar progress on the Necktie Social Project, thanks to all our lovely and talented volunteers.

I've posted a new recipe in the Prairie Moon Ranch Cookbook, another of my favorite comfort-foods during winter, which I'm really hoping is about to loosen its hold on us and let spring get here . . . soon, please!

Later this month, our new Block-of-the-Month program will be out, and as usual, it's full of bonuses and surprises, so keep your eyes peeled for further news on that.

I'm teaching a workshop on color next week for a wonderful group of ladies in my own local area, and I'm really looking forward to it.

And, my local guild is having a retreat on the weekend of National Quilting Day. Thankfully, there's the adage that you can't ever have too much fun! I'll be trying . . . you should join me!

March is here! Yes, already! And . . . it's National Quilting Month -- woohoo! I hope to have a few celebratory events going on on the blog, so keep your eye on it.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new recipe for The Cookbook, and hope to announce a new featured product along with a March special, so stay tuned . . . and Happy National Quilting Month!

February 19, 2010
I know I say this a lot, but time is just flying by -- it's already past the middle of February! The best thing about that is that it means winter will soon be over. Unfortunately, according to the weatherman, it won't be before we get some more snow.

I added some more patterns to the February Book and Pattern Sale. Only 10 more days to get some great half-price deals and possibly free shipping on your order.

I also added a new novel to the Books For Readin' category. Anita L. Allee's newest book is out. "God's Messenger" is her second contemporary novel, set in Colorado. You'll want to get your copy.

I'm slowly making some long overdue changes to the entire website. One of those is to hopefully get the new Gallery set up and going. I've been procrastinating on that one!

The new pattern is just about ready, really it is! It always takes me longer to do something than I imagine it will -- but you never have that problem, do you?

It's getting close to Valentine's Day. Have you gotten a gift for your sweetie yet? I made some cookies for mine . . . the recipe is on the blog here: Valentine Cookies.

There will be a new free pattern on the Hazel Ilene blog tomorrow, so check here to read about it and get the free pattern for yourself.

Next week, I hope to add some more patterns to the Book and Pattern sale, and I'm still working hard to get my next new pattern ready for the store, so stay tuned for that.

February 4, 2010
The February Book & Pattern sale kicks off today! I've got several in the store, and I'll be adding more -- this time I won't get lazy. I'm totally reorganizing my vendor booth for all of this year's shows, and I've got some great deals on some wonderful books and patterns that I think I've just had around too long.

Not only are these selected books and patterns on sale for half price, but if you place an order over $10, shipping is free as well!

There's a new recipe in the Prairie Moon Ranch Cookbook for this month, and I also periodically put recipes on the blog, so click here to check those out.

I hope to post another featured product soon, but until then, I'll just leave that cute little Cardinal on special. He seems quite popular!

January 29, 2010
The January Clearance is just about over, and I never even took time to add any more items to the store, so look for another sale next month. I've decided to have a book and pattern clearance sale, so I'll be adding all those in next week.

We've received some great donations and made some great progress on the Necktie Social project just this month, so hop over and check it out.

I've been keeping plenty busy . . .
The Hazel's Diary Quilt-Along is going great, and all the Cowgirls should have their packets in hand.

There's lots going on on the blog, and I hope to have a new pattern out in just a few days, so stay tuned.

January 5, 2010
Well, here we are, full into 2010. Hard to believe -- time is just whizzing by! The good thing about that right now, though, is that it means winter will be over with! We're in the grip of some bitter cold right now, and I don't like it one bit.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and have gotten the New Year off to a great start so far.

All this month, we're having a Clearance Sale in the online store, trying to make room for some new things we hope to have this year. So now's your chance to get some great deals. Once these items are gone, they're gone -- we won't have them any more. A lot of them are one-of-a-kind items you won't find anywhere else.

Our featured product this month is the Winter Cardinal Mini-Kit. Read more about it at right.

There's a new recipe in The Prairie Moon Ranch Cookbook you'll want to try out.

Cowgirl Club First Quarter packets for 2010 are scheduled to ship January 11. If you're already a Quilting Cowgirl, keep your eyes on the mail, and if you're not, why not? You're so missing out -- what are you waiting for?

Keep an eye on the blog for more up-to-date news, and keep checking back in with us often!

Our newest pattern is finally out! Woohoo!

It's called Prairie Moons and Stars, and it features big easy applique, so you can get it done quickly using your own favorite applique method.

Use an assortment of fat quarters to bust some stash, or plan out your colors and buy yardage at your favorite quilt shop.

Either way, this 78" x 78" quilt will dress up your ranch shack in rustic style!

Our featured product during the month of March is the Nickels and Dimes Charm Packs

Available in two different colorways, a 1930s reproduction option, and a rustic color option, each pack contains 25 five-inch squares that you can use with the Nickels and Dimes pattern.

If you buy any charm packs this month, you'll receive the Nickels and Dimes pattern with your order for FREE (one pattern per customer). Use one pack to make a table mat, use two and make a table runner, use four packs and make a baby quilt. This pattern has options -- and it's super quick and easy!

All the parts are now available in the online store. I've put a page up here to give you more information about the program. You can get sneak peeks at some of the bonus projects. Just remember: I'm not spilling all the surprises. This really is the most fun you'll ever have with a Block-of-the-Month program!
